Privacy policy

Short version: How Long Until I… has no accounts and no database. What you type stays in your browser and is not added to the page address unless you ask for a share link — see “The address bar” below. The one third party that sees anything is Google, because the site carries ads.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no newsletters and no contact forms. We do not set our own cookies and we do not run our own analytics.

Your inputs

Everything you type into the calculators is processed in your browser. It is not transmitted to us and we have no server that could store it.

The address bar

By default your entries are not put in the page address. They stay in the tab you are using and are discarded when you close it, which means they are not in your browser history and the advertising script above never sees them.

The exception is when you deliberately create a share link — the “Copy share link” or “Create shareable link” button on a result. Pressing that writes what you entered into the page address so the result can be bookmarked or sent to someone. From that moment the entries are in the address: visible in your history, visible to anyone you send the link to, and part of the page address that the advertising script reports to Google. The page says so at the time, and a “Clear share link” button removes them again. Opening a link somebody shared with you has the same effect, because their entries are in the address you opened.

Advertising

This site shows ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set or read cookies on your device, and may use the address of the page you are on, to serve and measure ads. We do not control what Google collects and we never see it.

Hosting and logs

The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived operational logs (including IP addresses) to deliver traffic and block abuse. That is Cloudflare's processing, under their privacy policy; we do not query those logs to build any profile.

Your rights, and children

Because we hold nothing that identifies you, there is no personal record here for us to show you, correct, or delete. For anything Google holds about your advertising profile, use the Google links above. This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
